Welcome to Temple Chai! We are so thrilled that you have chosen the ECC as your summer home! We will be providing an engaging, high-quality, exciting, and safe camp that your child will enjoy all summer long! We know you may have questions about how this summer will operate and so please refer to this Info guide for answers or call the ECC at 602-923-3619.
Throughout summer camp, your child will have a variety of activities. We will provide every family with an age appropriate activity schedule closer to the summer. This schedule will contain things such as: water play, Shabbat, playground, Art Studio, and more!
Here at the ECC we use an app called Brightwheel. Once enrolled, parents will be sent a link to download the app onto their phones. Parents will receive communication from administration and classroom staff, including potty updates, pictures, and incident reports.
In the instance of COVID exposure to anyone in your household, you agree to immediately inform the Temple Chai ECC Director. TCECC reserves the right to dismiss your camper if you are not forthright about COVID exposure within your household. If your camper or a direct family member gets COVID and cannot attend camp, no refunds will be issued. The CDC and Maricopa County Public Health are continually updating quarantine and other COVID related policies. The Temple Chai ECC will follow the latest guidelines and policies and we will send out updated COVID policies document prior to the start of camp.
Camp will open 9 weeks starting Tuesday, May 31st to Friday, July 29th. Closed Monday, July 4th. Hours of Operation are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Drop Off/Pick Up
At this time, families are not allowed into the ECC for drop off and pick up. This policy may change as summer approaches. We will keep all families signed up for summer camp informed.
All forms have been converted to electronic fillable documents and are sent out with the registration paperwork. Campers will not be admitted into camp unless all required forms are completed before the first day of camp.
If your child displays sign of illness they will be removed from their classroom and will be brought to ECC office. Parents will be notified immediately and required to pick-up their camper within 30 minutes. If we are unable to reach a parent within 30 minutes, we will begin calling emergency contacts. Below are some of the common illnesses that require children to be sent home:
Fever: If a child has a fever above 100.0°F in both ears, children will be sent home and may not return to camp until they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication.*

Families are responsible for providing a Kosher- Dairy style lunch for their children, as well as 2 snacks per day. We are also a nut-free school so we ask that you do not send any food that contains nuts of any kind.

This document is required for both prescribed and over the counter medication.
