Are you interested in building more meaningful connections with other Temple Chai members? Join Chai Connect! This program consists of several peer-led Circles that will provide pathways to connect our members to one another and to the larger Temple Chai community around shared interests and life stages. Chai Connect Circles are casually structured events and opportunities designed to deepen relationships among congregants.

Chai Connect Circle Offerings

Clink: Are you a wine, beer, or spirits enthusiast? This Circle meets monthly for a happy hour or tasting. Please drink responsibly! Led by Marilyn Starrett & Margie Sussman

Hiking Buddies: If you like to hike, this Circle is for you! The leader will organize a monthly group hike at one of the beautiful hiking trails in the Valley. All experience levels are welcome. Led by Sarah Paikowsky & Betsy Silber

Plant-based Eaters: Did you know that going vegan can stop the deforestation, soil degradation, and greenhouse gas emissions associated with meat production, helping to slow climate change and secure our global food supply? If you’re interested in becoming vegan or incorporating plant-based eating into your diet, join this Circle! Led by Nona Seigel & Ingrid Gold

Mahjong Mania: Mahjong is originally a Chinese tile-based game whose American version has swept the Jewish community. From the mahjong curious, to mahjong beginners, to seasoned pros, this Circle celebrates all things mahjong. They gather every 1st and 3rd Thursday from 1:00 – 3:00pm at Temple Chai. Led by Toni Dusik

Club Shabbos: This Circle is all about sharing the beauty of Shabbat with other congregants. Club Shabbos meets once a month on a Friday night. Come share a meal and observe Shabbat traditions with other Temple Chai members. Some months will be hosted in congregant homes while others will be dinner out after Kabbalat Shabbat service. Led by Barb Grossman & Hope Weiss

Families with Teens: Teenage years bring unique challenges as well as unique rewards for families. In addition to doing fun things together, this Circle is designed to be a network of support for families with teens. Looking for a leader.
