This year was filled with tough decisions, hard work, and personal growth. I began this year with a big move to Tucson where I would start my freshmen year of college at The University of Arizona. After months of struggling, I made the tough decision to move home and change my path. While it was a hard choice to make, I am so happy I trusted my instincts and moved home. I got a new job and worked nonstop while making new connections and saving up for the months to come. I landed my dream internship in Jerusalem, and I am headed to Israel for three months where I will delve deeper into my understanding of who I am and what role Judaism plays in my life. I will work in a school for children with disabilities and gain knowledge and experience that will help me with my career path in the future. I am taking off the next semester of school and continuing my adventures, traveling and meeting people along the way.

5783 was a year of growth and personal development. I look forward to returning home next year, hopefully with a new perspective and gained experience.

Shanah tovah,
Courtney Berman
