Adult Engagement

There are so many ways to connect, engage, and make Judaism more meaningful in your life. Whether you’re looking to learn something new, deepen a friendship that’s lasted years, or make ones that will last a lifetime, you’ll find your place here.

Adult Learning

Adult learning at Temple Chai invites adults of all backgrounds and experience levels to keep growing in their Jewish lives. Through programs like Mussar, Pirke Avot, Torah Study, Wise Aging, Introduction to Judaism, 2nd Cup with Rabbi Segal, and Adult B-Mitzvah, you can explore Jewish texts, deepen your spiritual practice, ask big questions, and connect with others in a warm and thoughtful community. Chai Connect Circles

Chai Connect Circles are intentionally small, peer-led groups that bring Temple Chai members together through shared interests, life stages, and simple moments of connection. Each circle creates a comfortable space to meet new people, build relationships, and feel even more at home in our community.

Circles are led by Temple Chai members, for Temple Chai members. Most groups meet once a month, although the exact schedule is decided by each leader. When you join a circle, you’re committing to showing up monthly for at least four months so the group can grow together. You’re welcome to join as many circles as you’d like.

If you’d like to sign up for a Chai Connect Circle, have an idea for a new one, or just want to learn more, click below or reach out to Molly Levy at mlevy@templechai.com.

Shalom Center

The Shalom Center supports our members through all of life’s transitions, joys and sorrows. It is the place where we talk about our deepest struggles and encourage each other’s emotional and spiritual growth. The Shalom Center provides opportunities to learn, grow, give and receive support guided by Jewish wisdom, tradition and compassion.

Men’s and Women’s Groups

Our affinity groups bring people together through shared interests, life stages, and identities. These communities create space for learning, connection, and support. Each group offers its own mix of social gatherings, study, holiday celebrations, and meaningful conversations.

Temple Chai welcomes transgender, non binary and gender nonconforming individuals to participate in any affinity group that feels right for them. We continue to work toward expanding our offerings so everyone can find a place that feels like home.

Social Action

Temple Chai is committed to Social Action and Social Justice, and our community is heavily engaged in Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World). Social Action and Social Justice engagement is embedded in all areas of Temple Chai life starting with our Early Childhood Center students all the way through our elderly community as well.

Our Social Action Committee also devotes itself to creating opportunities for direct service and advocacy based in our Jewish values throughout the year.

Adult Choir

Join our adult choir to sing with the clergy at services and concerts. Rehearsals are uplifting and community- focused. The choir performs throughout the year and is open to all Temple members.
