Temple Chai General Staff
Sheana Abrams has been with Temple Chai since 2007. As the Operations Coordinator, her responsibilities include the set up and coordination of temple events, catering and facility needs for meetings and celebrations and internal support for Chai Men's Club, and Dor L'Dor. She manages the Temple calendar and is the Chai Lights editor. Sheana has four children and enjoys spending time with her family and travelling anywhere there is water and a beach. |
Marci Beliak has been with Temple Chai since 1999. As the Administrative Assistant for the Shalom Center, she handles all information regarding illnesses, deaths and simchas. In addition, she organizes and handles the arrangements and publicity for the Shalom Center programs and workshops. Marci and her husband, Bob, have three children. Marci loves reading, playing word and card games, watching movies and spending time with her family and their Pekingese. |
Diane Blake has been working in the Religious School office as an office assistant since
2006. Diane and her husband, Frank, have been members of Temple Chai for more than 34 years and they have two children and one grandchild. Diane says this is the perfect retirement job. |
Teri Cohen has been the Office Administrator for the Early Childhood Center since 2003. Her responsibilities include licensing, handling paperwork, and most importantly, making sure the children, as well as their parents, are all happy. Teri and her husband, Dan, have three beautiful children; Jacob, Abby and Max. In her spare time Teri has a business called Prickly Pear, and sells stationery as well as hair accessories. |
Joan Neer has been providing administrative support for the clergy since 1996. She is the manager of the Temple Chai Judaica Shop and is also the coordinator of the B'nai Mitzvah program. Joan also provides internal support for Club Shabbos, Bat Chai, Adult Education and Conversion. Joan formerly taught in the Temple Chai Religious School for 14 years and was also the Chai Kids director. Joan and her husband, Michael, have three children, two Havanese dogs and two cats. |

Dawn Okuka has been with Temple Chai since 2010 and works in the accounting office. She is responsible for accounts receivable and payables as well as assisting congregants with database information. Dawn and her husband, Alek, have two children, and she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Dawn is currently working towards her Associates degree in accounting.
Wendy Twiggs has been with Temple Chai since 1997 as the Temple’s Controller. She directs all departmental accounting issues and works closely with the Executive Director and VP of Finance in maintaining the annual Temple Chai budget. Wendy and her husband, Trent, have two daughters and two grandchildren. In her spare time, Wendy enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and is very active working with the youth programs at her church.
Debbie Wink has been with Temple Chai since 1995. As the Administrative Assistant for the Religious School, her responsibilities include the handling of any and all information pertaining to the school and providing support to the entire education staff, including more than 25 teachers. She also coordinates the Scrip gift card fundraising program for the Temple. Debbie is the published author of the Sam and the Floorboard Gang children’s book series. She enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her two children and three grandchildren.
