For many of our post high school age children the trunks have been unpacked, books have been purchased (can you believe how expensive they are?) and most of them have begun their classes or are about to do so. Some of our children are now working after having finished school, are in the military, or are just exploring options for their future. They are well into a new chapter of their lives and are away from home but Temple Chai and a Jewish connection can still be with them.

Whether your children are attending college in town or far away, or are pursuing other avenues we can be there for them through mailings to remind them they are still a part of our family. The clergy and I will keep them connected with their “Jewish Life” by sending them the Chai Lights, letters from the rabbis about holidays, and current events, and care packages for the holidays. This month we will be sending your children a High Holiday care package with a letter from our clergy.

Although our post high school students may no longer be part of our school, we still want them to know they’re a part of Temple Chai. If your children are attending college in town or far away, are in the military or are doing something else right now, we can help them feel like they are still thought of by their Temple Chai Family.

We will begin by sending copies of Chai Lights, birthday cards, mailings from the rabbis, and holiday care packages.

 Any parent wishing to have their college-enrolled, military or post high school children included on our mailing list, please complete the bottom of this form and return it to the temple office. This is the only record we have of their whereabouts. This form needs to be filled out each year even if you filled one out last year.
